Essence of Christmas
We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, and of great tidings. Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ, a mass service where we remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life.
It is important to keep in our minds the real reason why we are celebrating this season in the first place. We must always remember that our God came in this world to save us from our sins and to redeem us from the wickedness of this world.
The Christmas gift reminds us of how God gave us the gift of His Son and that Jesus Christ gave us the greatest gift of all. Giving gifts is meant to be a symbol of love and kindness and remembrance of the gift of eternal life made possible by our savior.
The essence of celebrating Christmas season for me is not to have a house full of Christmas lights but to have a home, not having a tall and beautiful Christmas tree full of gifts underneath it and giving expensive gifts but having genuine happiness and bright smiles. Christmas basically means sharing what you have, not just the material things but also those that can only be felt like a warm tight hug, a simple thank you, showing our appreciation to our loved ones and forgiveness among others.

Stop violence against women
As life goes on with outstanding achievements, there are also dark sides in this society. The more this community get developed, the more complicated it became. Each year passed by, we have to face a lot of issues. Some of them are small, but some are not.
Violence against women appeared from a long time ago and happened in every country. It caused pain in both mental and physical for women. There were so many people trying to stop this problem but it was still not completely fixed. There are many reasons that lead to this issue all over the world. I realized that the main reason why this issue got worst is because of Discrimination and Unequal power. Some legends and stories in the past made people think men’s role is more important than women’s role in society.
I hope that this issue will soon be resolved for a peaceful.

Save the environment and humankind
Environmental awareness means being aware of the natural environment and making choices that benefit the earth, rather than hurt it.
Everyone needs to be aware of the impact of their actions because the success and failure of environmental programs and the overall condition of our environment lie on small, personal acts that accumulate over time.
Nature has always been important to everyone and everything in the world. It provides nourishment and beauty for life. We grew out of the seed, the earth, and we are part of all that. More hands in every work creates beautiful outcome. Now, we all must come together to save the environment and humankind.

It’s more fun in school with HSM
Happy schools movement seeks to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study.
Dr. Malcolm Garma, DepEd Region 1 regional director, said the regional launch of the HSM was held at the Vigan Convention Center in this city on May 20, 2019.

It aims to create an environment where students can freely express themselves and promote learning in an easy yet effective way of learning. Also, a happy school is composed of happy teachers build in a happy environment and form happy students.
Learners deserve to be loved and taken with utmost care. Activities and movements had been in the center stage to make our schools a child-friendly haven.
Happy School Movement is indeed a very promising transformative advocacy to our schools. Keeping in mind that our school children now will soon rule the future, thus let us make sure that our learners learn not just on survival mode or break-even scheme.

EXPERIENCES AND DISCOVERIES
E X P E R I E N C E S AND D I S C O V E R I E S
Many of us these days depend on the World Wide Web to bring the world's information to our fingertips and put us in touch with people and events across the globe instantaneously. These powerful online experiences are possible thanks to an open web that can be accessed by anyone through a web browser or any internet-connected device in the world.
The things I learned during the first quarter is on how the internet started and how it is being used until now. Internet is the very backbone that allows the web to exist. I also had the chance to take a look on how the web is used today through web applications. These innovations in browsers and web technologies give us faster and better online experiences.
People who are anti-social in face to face like me, use blog and other social networks to interact with others using our true identities or anonymous personas. Since blog is a social tool, it is alternative method for interacting with others that are not previously existing.
The first time I wrote my first blog post, my hands were sweaty as I tried to sound witty in my writing. I've learned a lot since that time, and I will continue to learn more about blogging. I do not have much audience since it is just my first time but I'm still grateful that I had the chance to share my insights about a particular topic.
Self-doubt occasionally creeps into my mind but I always remind myself that if I'm not good in writing then I'll do my my best to improve.
Building a blog takes time and effort. I consider this experience as one of the best adventures of my life. This 1st quarter, I learned many things and I'll use those struggles and challenges as motivation for the upcoming quarters and years of learning. I will share the ideas and knowledge I learned this 1st quarter to others. Surely, what I learned this 1st quarter can help me to improve my skill in writing.

PUT TIME INTO PREPARATION
PUT TIME INTO PREPARATION
The Department of Health(DOH) joins
the annual observance of National Disaster Resilience Month(NDRM) this whole
month of July with the theme “Kahandaan sa sakuna’t peligro, para sa tumay na
pagbabago.”
This event wants to call for action
among all the government agencies to implement disaster resilience campaigns towards
increasing public awareness. This event will cover disaster prevention and
mitigation, disaster preparedness, disaster response and disaster
rehabilitation and recovery.
This event aims to reduce the risk
and impacts of disasters for learners, personnel, schools, and offices arising
from natural and human-induced hazards. This also aims to empower personnel,
offices, schools, and learners in ensuring safety and learning community.
The objectives of the framework is
to protect learners and education workers from death, injury, and harm in
schools.
Disasters strike in every corner of
the world, during every season, and on different scales throughout the year.
These events are often unexpected
by their very nature, leaving little time, if any, to prepare. That is why it
is important to put time into planning and preparation long before the disaster
strikes.

Be Ready!
B E R E A D Y !
Earthquake is a natural phenomenon
caused by constant movements of the Earth plates and due to ever-changing of
the climate. It is the most unpredicted calamities that is happening to our
country causing hundreds of death and injuries.
National simultaneous earthquake
drill is encouraged by NDRRMC. It aims to intensify local communities’
earthquake preparedness and increase the commitment of local government units
in building safe communities.
Earthquake drill is very important
because it can teach us students and staff on how to respond to complications
caused by an actual earthquake.
It is best for us to be prepared
and ready for all eventualities because no one can predict when will the
earthquake happen.
As we live in an area where
earthquake is a frequent occurrence, we have to include earthquake
preparedness in our overall emergency plan.
We must know the guidelines that
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology issued.

Independence Day
I N D E P E N D E N C E
Independence Day is an annual
national holiday in our country observed every 12th day of June,
commemorating the independence of the Philippines from Spain.
This year we are celebrating the
121st Anniversary of our independence. All government offices are
closed on that day as this is a National Holiday and so also are schools and
also some private offices. Cavite holds a yearly commemorative act with the
flag raising at the Aguinaldo Shrine and the reading of the Philippine
Declaration of Independence.
As a Filipino we must know how
and when did we have our freedom. We should also give respect to all the people
who fought for our freedom.
