Earthquake is a natural phenomenon caused by constant movements of the Earth plates and due to ever-changing of the climate. It is the most unpredicted calamities that is happening to our country causing hundreds of death and injuries.

National simultaneous earthquake drill is encouraged by NDRRMC. It aims to intensify local communities’ earthquake preparedness and increase the commitment of local government units in building safe communities.

Earthquake drill is very important because it can teach us students and staff on how to respond to complications caused by an actual earthquake.

It is best for us to be prepared and ready for all eventualities because no one can predict when will the earthquake happen.

As we live in an area where earthquake is a frequent occurrence, we have to include earthquake preparedness in our overall emergency plan.

We must know the guidelines that Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology issued.
